This was definitely and unbelievably the highlight of 2014 for me. I got to meet the directors of BOXTROLLS! HOW EXCITING! So steve posted a week before that anyone in London who was interested could go interview them, I was straight up I WILL GO TO LONDON AND MEET THEM. The train cost me £60 to go there and back during the day, I got my christmas shopping done. Went to the natural history museum and then after tea (which I didn't finish because I was so nervous about meeting these legends) I pottered on up to Soho to go meet them in their swanky hotel. I meet Steve at reception (another writer for skwigly who works in a studio in LDN), and we were escorted to their ridiculously large suite. I had prepared a few questions but it was primarily Steve's interview being a more experienced writer, that meant I got to ask my questions, and not have to write it up! Amazing!
They were so lovely and down to earth and gave a real eye opener into the making of the film, and also there background and the way they work. I loved them. I wish I was Graham Annable. Maybe our paths will cross again and one day I could work for him. (Tony was lovely too but he came across like he might not live in as much of a fantasy world, I imagine Graham dreams of trolls and goblins where as tony is much more down to earth, which is probably why this partnership worked so well).
