Ron Mueck specialises in hyperrealistic sculptures in mega size. As soon as I saw these I thought how cool would it be if they were interactive and talked to you and were animated. They look so real yet fake, the skin looks like dead skin all pasty and vampire like, and the eyes aren't compelling like most characters. However I don't think this makes them unsuccessful I think it adds to their charm of them being creepy and gives them a psychotic soul it doesn't make them soulless, like some portraits of people that is almost lifeless.
